16 Weeks

How far along? 16 weeks

Maternity clothes? I fit in my maternity jeans now! Woohoo! Haha. I need to buy more dress pants b/c I only have one pair so I’ve been wearing a lot of skirts lately. Skirts are the most comfortable at this point!

Stretch marks? Nope.

Sleep: Good, I bought a body pillow so it’s a lot easier to get comfy.

Best moment these last 2 weeks: My OB appt earlier today, nugget is doing perfectly! Heart rate of 145. Also I’ve enjoyed my stomach getting bigger and finally looking pregnant!

Miss Anything? I miss my clothes (mainly all my jeans and dress pants)…I love getting bigger but I don’t have a lot of choices right now. I need to go shopping!

Movement: Not yet…come on baby…move!! Haha.

Food Cravings: Still nothing specific. I’m trying to eat healthier though, more fruits and veggies.

Anything making you queasy or sick: I still get a little queasy if I get too hungry.

Gender: Only 4 weeks until we can find out!!! I cannot wait!!

Labor Signs: No

Symptoms: Skin breaking out still.

Belly Button in or out? Getting more shallow!

Wedding rings on or off? On, but I need to take it off before going on a walk because my fingers swell.

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy! I’ve been registering online for basic baby gear, it’s so much fun!

Looking forward to: Finding out the sex of the baby! One month to go!! I need to finish clearing out the spare room so I can transform it into a nursery!

14 weeks!

I'm in my 2nd trimester, woohoo! 1/3 of the way there!

How far along? 14 weeks

Maternity clothes? I’m still in the awkward in-between stage where I don’t fit in my normal pants but I’m still too small for maternity pants. Shirts are getting tighter too.

Stretch marks? Nothing new.

Sleep: Pretty good…hard to get comfy some nights, but that’s to be expected!

Best moment these last 2 weeks: Finding out my friend is pregnant and we’re due only 6 weeks apart! So much fun!

Miss Anything? Not feeling so bloated all the time.

Movement: Not yet

Food Cravings: I haven’t really craved anything yet, but I’m not craving sweets, which is kinda weird.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Some different foods because of the texture. I’ve never been one to be weird about texture but I start gagging more easily now…like eating a banana a couple days ago.

Gender: Won’t know until around 20 weeks. At this point I think I’m hoping for a girl and Miles is hoping for a boy but we’ll both be ecstatic either way!

Labor Signs: No

Symptoms: My body is starting to feel kinda different, my skin is really sensitive and my face is breaking out really bad. Fun!

Belly Button in or out? This has been so crazy…I have a really deep belly-button and you can hardly see the bottom…but it already has started to even out some and I can see the bottom of it for the first time ever!

Wedding rings on or off? On, but I need to take it off before going on a walk because my fingers swell.

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!! As much as my body is already aching I still love every minute of it…I can’t wait to be a mommy!

Looking forward to: Being in my second trimester finally…maybe I’ll start getting some motivation for starting on our nursery! I just have so much junk to clear out of there right now…but I get to get new cute baby stuff to fill it back up!

12 Weeks!

How far along? 12 weeks

Maternity clothes? Not really, I have a button-extender that I have been using for my pants, it was pretty maxed out the other day though, haha. Sweat pants are becoming my best friend!

Stretch marks? Nothing new, but I think the ones on my hips are becoming more visible (at least to me!)

Sleep: Good, I’m starting to feel more energetic…I don’t have to go to bed at 9:30 anymore, woohoo!

Best moment these last 2 weeks: Going for our 2nd OB visit. Got to see our baby again on the ultrasound!!! Heart beat of 158.

Miss Anything? Not fitting into my dress-pants for work. It really limits what I can wear! I’m in the awkward stage where I can’t wear maternity pants really but can’t fit in my old pants.

Movement: Not yet

Food Cravings: Nothing major, I am hungry all the time though!

Anything making you queasy or sick: If I get hungry then I feel nauseous. Although I think it’s starting to get better.

Gender: Won’t know until around 20 weeks. Some funny old wives tales that I have done: heart rate of baby says girl; food cravings (salty vs sweet) says boy; my face breaking out says girl; the wedding ring test says girl. Haha…we will see!

Labor Signs: No

Symptoms: Just the random queasiness.

Belly Button in or out? In

Wedding rings on or off? On, it was already tight before I was pregnant so it’s starting to feel a little more snug.

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy! I still can’t believe how blessed I am to get to grow a little baby inside me! It is such a miracle from God! This baby is going to be soooo incredibly loved!

Looking forward to: Being able to feel the baby move, they say usually around 15-16 weeks but maybe I'll feel it sooner!

10 Weeks!

Hey guys, not much news this week. Still feeling about the same and I look pretty much the same too so no picture. (I did take one but it looks just like last weeks so it would be pointless to post it). Here's the questionnaire...enjoy!!

How far along? 10 weeks

Maternity clothes? Not yet, but I have been shopping and buying some cute stuff I can’t wait to wear! I might have to switch to stretchy-dress pants this week.

Stretch marks? No

Sleep: Good, I’ve had some random leg cramps and headaches but nothing too bad.

Best moment these last 2 weeks: Seeing my belly grow a little more, after I eat I always check it out in
the mirror, because it’s a little bit bigger then! Haha.

Miss Anything? Not being able to eat or drink (caffeine) anything I want. I’ve never been one to diet, so I
don’t like having restrictions on food.

Movement: Not yet

Food Cravings: Nothing too crazy really, but if I hear someone talking about somewhere they just ate
(Dairy Queen and Jimmy Johns for example) then I have to eat something from there soon.

Anything making you queasy or sick: If I don’t eat something right when I get up in the morning or if I
start to get hungry at all it will not be good.

Gender: Won’t know until around 20 weeks. I want to know now!

Labor Signs: No

Symptoms: Just the random queasiness.

Belly Button in or out? In

Wedding rings on or off? On, it was already tight before I was pregnant so it’s starting to feel a little
more snug.

Happy or Moody most of the time:
Happy!! I want the weeks to go by faster but I also know I need to
cherish every day. There are so many changes from one day to the next and I also need to treasure the
time Miles and I have before the baby comes into our lives. But it’s hard to be patient!

Looking forward to: Being in my 2nd trimester (2 more weeks to go). I’ve heard things get a little easier
then and I also will hopefully be showing by then!

BIG NEWS!!!!!

For those who haven’t heard the news yet…Miles and I are pregnant!!!! We are beyond excited and I promise I will be better about updating this blog to keep everyone up to date on my pregnancy. We found out on March 14th and kept it a secret for a few weeks until Easter. On Easter we told my (Alli) parents and then the next weekend we told Miles’ parents. Everyone was thrilled and so happy for us. We are the first on both sides to have a baby so we just made three new sets of grandparents! Our first doctor appointment was today, and everything looks perfect! I measured a week earlier than I thought I was so that makes our due date Nov 25th. It’ll be an exciting Thanksgiving this year! Seeing the baby actually moving around, and seeing and hearing the heart beat was one of the most amazing experiences in our lives! Miles and I were definitely teary eyed! I can’t believe the tiny miracle God has given to us. Here is a picture of my "baby belly". It's hardly noticeable but I want to take weekly pictures for a fun comparison!

***8 Weeks!!***
Here's a cool questionnaire I found on another blog...I'll try to update every week or so!

How far along? 8 weeks

Maternity clothes? No, but my pants are getting a little tight. Time to start using a rubber band to make my normal pants last a little longer.

Stretch marks? No

Sleep: I’m actually starting to get more energy back instead of going to bed at 9:30 every night. I’ve been sleeping pretty well the last few nights with just a few trips to the bathroom.

Best moment this week: Seeing our little nugget during our first ultrasound today!! And of course seeing/hearing the heartbeat! I can’t believe I have a baby cooking away inside me!

Miss Anything? Not gagging at the sight of anything slightly gross.

Movement: Not yet

Food Cravings: In the last few weeks I’ve wanted nothing to do with grease but last night I wanted some salty greasy french fries! No weird cravings yet though.

Anything making you queasy or sick: If I let my stomach get empty I get queasy. Also the sight of anything gross makes me gag. Example: I clean up dog puke all the time with having 4 dogs…no big deal. A few days ago I see dog puke and within 2 minutes I had puked. Not fun!

Gender: Won’t know til around 20 weeks. I want to know now!

Labor Signs: No

Symptoms: Just the random queasiness.

Belly Button in or out? In

Wedding rings on or off? On

Happy or Moody most of the time: Ecstatic!!!…We’re having a baby! But I’m sure Miles would say I’m pretty moody…hehehe.

Looking forward to: My stomach getting bigger so people can actually tell I’m pregnant. I’m so excited for every step of the process!! We are so blessed!

***The baby is laying upside down and you can see the 2 arms and 2 legs. So perfect!!***

Diesel Playing Dead

We spent a few days working with Diesel and he finally perfected "Play Dead". He such a good boy, and he learns so quickly!

Before and After

Miles had this idea...Diesel as a little puppy compared to Diesel as a BIG puppy! The first pic was when he was almost 3 months old, so he was already bigger than when we first got him. (he was only 6 lbs when we got him at 8 weeks old) Now he's 8 months old and 70lbs!! Crazy! I hope he doesn't get too much bigger. I still don't think my chihuahuas realize how big he is, because they try and fight with him. He has accidentally squashed them a few times, but they'll never learn. I'll try and post some more pics later of the doggies all playing.
